We are a new church whose mission is to connect people in Tucson, especially Chinese, with Jesus Christ. Our members have a passion for living for Christ, telling others the good news of Jesus Christ, and working with other followers of Jesus Christ to grow and to fulfill the Great Commission.
Joe Chan has been in the pastoral ministry in Tucson for over 16 years. Previously, he was a business man in the real estate and finance industries. He is a graduate of Gateway Seminary of the SBC (formerly known as Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary) with a Master of Divinity degree. He serves on the board of Gateway Seminary. He is also a graduate of Arizona State University with a BS in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration. He is married with two grown sons.
Johnathan Chan, the younger son of Joe Chan, has been in the pastoral ministry in Tucson for over 8 years, after working as a software engineer for IBM for 4 years. He is a graduate of Gateway Seminary of the SBC (formerly known as Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary) with a Master of Divinity degree, and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry program. He is also a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Management Information Systems. He and his wife Kelly (also an M.Div graduate of Gateway and BS graduate of the UA) have a 19 month son and a 1 month old girl.
Hugo Cheung is helping with the Mandarin ministry. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Gateway Seminary. He is a graduate of University of Southern California with a Master and a Ph.D in electric engineering. He is the manager of research and development in the Tucson division of Texas Instruments, an international high tech company. He is married with four children.
